Programme (English)

We are Amsterdam BIJ1, the party for radical equility. With one seat in the Amsterdam city council we have managed to make a big impact. On our initiative, for example,

  • the climate crisis was declared in Amsterdam,
  • homeless people are no longer fined if they sleep in the street,
  • information signs are placed in streets that are named after colonial villains,
  • extra money is made available for single parents,
  • gender-neutral toilets are installed in publicly accessible buildings of the municipality and
  • (small) cultural institutions outside the centre are included in the cultural recovery plan.
  • Together with other parties, we ensured that research was conducted and apologies were made for Amsterdam's role in slavery's past.

The problems that lie ahead call for a different kind of politics. If you support us in the upcoming elections, we can do a lot more for the city in the upcoming four years. A vote for Amsterdam BIJ1 is a vote for more affordable housing and less landlords. For more culture and less multinationals. For structural financing of residents collectives, so they can build a counterforce from below against the sell-out of the city. A vote for Amsterdam BIJ1 is a vote for climate justice. For an Amsterdam where no one is forced to sleep on the streets. For guaranteeing the livelihood and human rights of everyone in our city.
